new years eve 2013

ever since kids came into the picture we never go out anymore for what could possibly be the most overrated night of the year – new year’s eve. and because we don’t like to go out, we have parties at home. it’s always kid friendly of course. but i think my kids are the only ones that can last til midnight. we stayed up late partying and having dance offs to gangnam style. these kiddies truly had too much fun that night.

i wonder if they will grow up and remember that their parents use to have some serious parties. hopefully it will be a fond memory for them and not a traumatizing one. lol

happy new year! bring on the year of the snake.

christmas eve dinner

December 30th, 2012 § 0 comments § permalink

every year we have christmas eve dinner with family and friends. it’s always a very festive evening filled with lots of food, laughs and great company. each year we fry our turkey because that’s the only way to eat a turkey. and me and my sisters make a bunch of sides. for dessert we made santa strawberries. the kids seem to love it!

we had such an awesome time with our family and friends. that’s what the holidays are all about. i love the time that we get to spend with family and all the festivities surrounding the holidays. we also enjoy seeing the kids get excited over christmas in anticipation of santa’s arrival and christmas morning. this year the twins were super excited about opening up their own gifts and meeting santa at the mall. the look on their faces christmas morning were just precious. ryder and river could not contain their excitement and joy. and that really is what the holidays are all about.

hope everyone enjoyed their holidays!

santa’s in town

our santa mall outing. we have been going to see this santa for the past 8 years now. he is still by far the best looking santa. this year kids did not cry or get scared. they seemed to enjoy santa’s lap. i’m sure ryely was giving santa a good long list of things they all wanted for christmas. if they their faces seem sad it was because they were sleepy.
